The Crab-Orchard Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented its eighth annual Uncle Sam's Original Show Sunday at the Palace Theatre. Proceeds of the annual event, which includes musical numbers and comedy skits, suports the chapter's historic preservation, education and patriotic activities in the community, including the Cumberland County Veterans' Emergency Fund, established two years ago by the chapter and administered by the Cumberland County Veterans' Service Office. The cast of local performers entertained two packed houses Sunday with portrayals of famous performers from the 1940s to today.
